
Don Vaughan is a veteran freelancer with experience writing nonfiction articles and books. He has made his living with words for nearly 50 years, and has worked as a full-time freelance writer since 1991. He writes for an eclectic array of publications, including Writer’s Digest, Scout Life, The Saturday Evening Post, Publishers Weekly, Jack & Jill, and more. He has also written, co-written, or contributed to more than 35 books on topics ranging from the Columbia Shuttle Disaster to American festivals. His areas of expertise include health/medicine, eldercare, military culture and history, the Civil War, WWII, pet care, veterinary medicine, and popular culture. He is the founder of the Triangle Area of Freelancers.
